WHY DO PEOPLE FOLLOW SUTAK OR 11 DAYS UNTOUCHABILITY AFTER THE DEATH OF FAMILY MEMBERS?

I wonder many people cant think widely even after the viral disaster in the years 2020 and 2021.

This is not the first time the earth to see these kinds of biological disasters. Planet earth already witnessed them. Earth already witnessed the outbreak of plague, cholera, ebola, smallpox, etc... which are highly communicable. In those times medical facilities are not heavily grown-up... all the treatment is done by referring to various grandhas, vrukshya sastras, etc... there are no ways then, to find complete health details without any symptoms.

If any person dies, their family, people of their community will come to see and mourn there. If they are infected due to the body of the person died and they roam here and there, chances of spreading will be high. that's why people went to mourn will bath after returning to home and people of death one's family members who will be in close contact will remain untouched for 11 days.

This is just like quarantine after roaming near an infected person.

this was kept as a rule because... people may ignore if the person died with a non-communicable disease [ but really died with a viral/some communicable disease ] as they don't know perfectly.

So, finally, a myth busted that following sutak is a myth.. is a myth.
